We work hard to make meaningful changes in the health system in our region by connecting people to the care and resources they need to
thrive and lead productive lives.
Who We Are
Sacramento Covered is a 501(c)3 community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving healthcare access and care coordination for all who live in the Sacramento region. Our mission is to improve the overall health and well-being of the Sacramento region by connecting people to health coverage, primary and preventative care, community resources and other supportive services.
What we have done so far
In the last 12 months, we provided over 130,000 services to help residents overcome barriers to care. We have connected people to affordable health insurance, nutritious food, doctors and dentists, transportation to medical appointments, housing services, language interpreter services, and other critical resources.
Your donation will help cover the costs of unmet health needs for the diverse communities that we serve. Donations have helped families and individuals cover their copays, meals, car seats, prescriptions, legal fees, and rent. No one should have to choose between their health or keeping their lights on.
How you can help
This vision isn’t ours alone. We are grateful to our many partners that provide funding, guidance and collaboration to challenge social determinants of health and improve the well-being of the Sacramento region. Please join us by donating to make sure that every person in Sacramento County has the access and information necessary to get the health care, nutrition services and housing support they need and deserve.
Your donation to us is 100% tax-deductible.
Who is helping
Our work is made possible through the support of our community and these partners:
For Pride Month, we are giving our donors a free t-shirt when you make a donation of $25 or more. We’ll ship it to you for free and also give $5 from every donation to local LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization, the Lavender Library — an all volunteer-based lending library and space dedicated to being inclusive, creating community, promoting social justice and uplifting LGBTQ+ stories.
